You know how we're always hearing about diets and fitness plans? Well, "Healthy Weight Management" is kind of the big-picture idea behind all that. It’s not just about losing or gaining weight; it's about finding and maintaining a weight that’s good for your overall health and makes you feel your best.

It's not about quick fixes or extreme measures. Instead, it’s more about making balanced choices and building habits that you can stick with for the long haul. This means eating a variety of foods that give you the nutrients you need, staying active in ways that you enjoy, and also getting enough sleep and managing stress.

There are several categories of weight management, including:

Health & Wellness

Why do we include Health and Wellness as one of the categories?

Well, it is or should be the main reason to opt for Healthy Weight Management!
While most of us tend to only start looking at managing our weight for appearance or cosmetic reasons, our health and the feeling of wellness should be the primary reason.

Weight Loss

Weight loss is all about reducing body weight! Typically, with the goal of improving appearance but often for health reasons.
Weight loss can be achieved through a variety of methods, some methods are good, but many are not! For this reason, I recommend working with an experienced wellness or weight management coach, such as myself, to develop a personalized weight loss plan!

Weight Gain

Weight gain, which is sometimes more difficult to achieve, is the process of increasing body weight. Typically, with the goal of building muscle mass but often to improve overall health. This can be achieved through a variety of methods, such as increasing calorie intake, engaging in strength training exercises, and working with a wellness and weight management coach to develop a personalized weight gain plan.

Toning & Shaping

Toning and shaping are of course about improving body composition, by building muscle and achieving a lean, sculpted physique.
This can be achieved through a combination of strength training exercises and cardiovascular activity, but primarily by a healthy diet and lifestyle. (The so-called 80/20 rule) This rule is simply to focus more on healthy nutrition than on workout sessions.

Pillar 1     Nutrition!

This is the 'Master Key' to your success!

Much of this site focusses in one way or another on Nutrition It is, without doubt, the most essential element in ANY weight management program!

Please note the 80% requirement! (80% Nutrition and 20% Exercise!)
Your focus needs to be on getting good balanced nutrition. (More about the Global Nutrition Philosophy here.)

If you are not able to grow your own, or do not have access to a large variety of fresh "out the soil" fruit, vegetables, and herbs, you will need to supplement.

Also, to get the correct balance of macronutrients, micronutrients, minerals, and vitamins, you may need add nutrient rich / nutrient dense weight management products to your diet.

Pillar 2     Exercise!    (Of course)

Although it counts only 20% toward your result, Exercise is extremely important!

You cannot lead a Healthy Active Lifestyle and manage your weight without the correct Nutrition and the correct Exercise!

 But make sure you get the 80% - 20% equation right!

I still have clients saying to me:
“I exercise and work out like crazy, but I am not getting the results I want” (Some are even working out two hours per day, 6 days per week!) 


It is about The Right Combination!

Nutrition is 80%. Exercise is 20%80% nutrition - 20% exercise

It does not matter how hard you work in the gym if you do not control what you put on your plate!

Pillar 3       Education!

How do I know what to eat?I do not know what I should eat!

I am referring to nutrition education of course. And I apologise if you are already a ‘fundi on the subject. But 80% of my clients are not.

I have found that many people make poor food choices through ignorance rather than a lack of discipline.

Is Nutrition Education important for Healthy Weight Management?

YES of course! But where do you start? 
If you are as confused as I was when I got started, then I know where you are!
But as you get into it, you will find that the basics are quite simple to follow! 

The part that is not so easy is the discipline to do the simple things!
Therefore, I strongly recommend that you follow a weight management program that has been personalized for you. And have a coach that will guide, support, and inspire you!
There are some excellent weight management products and supplements to choose from. I will recommend the ones that i used to get my result - and still use!

But you still need to know and understand the basics of nutrition!
I cover the important basics of macro and micro nutrition and what you should or should not be eating! 
Not forgetting the importance of water of course!
